An interesting walk through the unique flora and sandstone forests of the Royal National Park, passing through Audley Weir, Winifred Falls, Anice Falls, then on an overgrown track to Maianbar and on to Bundeena. Steep and slippery sections, overgrown tracks. Limit: 12. View

The river has more than 12 tributary creeks flowing into it and is the main tributary of Sydney Harbour. Good paths and a river crossing. The foreshore path is shared with bicycles, prams etc so care is needed. Hazards include viruses.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPark at Wolgan Road and go through Minotaur Lair to Point Sol. Continue east, then north, exploring high pagodas around the cliff edge. Then walk west to the central spine and have a look at the blind slot at GR 422 233. Head along the spine of the ridge and find a way down to the next level towards west at about GR 420 236. The idea is to explore the next 250 m of pagodas and slots, until 4170 E. Return either via Ariadne Thread or down to Minotaur Lair if there is no time. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Rock scrambling on ropes and along the base of the escarpment. Slippery in places.

This magnificent walk is focusing on the Harbour itself – the expanse of water, the bridges, islands, urban bushland and city skyline. The route winds along parts of the foreshore, into bays and on to headlands, through bush, along historic streets and over grand bridges. Leader will provide itinerary on inquiry. Cultural sensitivity a major prerequisite and a good level of fitness. We will visit World heritage sites in Kathmandu and then fly to Bhutan for a cultural tour 6 days, and climb up to Tigers Nest Monastery... Leader is organising trip with a reputable friend in Nepal who has a company that we have used over the years. Altitude for both Nepal and Bhutan will not be higher than approx 3200 metres. From there we walk around and see some of the wonderful views over the coast from Stanwell Tops before descending 150 metres to Stanwell Park Station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces and creek crossings.
