A few short swims, so you need to be a competent swimmer. Meet at Hat Hill carpark and drive some cars to the track in Godson Ave. Follow the track to Hat Hill Creek. Put on wetsuits. Continue downstream to where Hat Hill Creek plunges into the Grose. Retrace upstream to the exit point. Change into dry clothes for the walk out. If we have time, we will visit the Aboriginal engravings and grinding grooves near the car park. Drive to the start of the walk to collect vehicles. Bring the helmet and dry bags. Wet suit or thermals depending on how you handle cold water. We will be in and out of the creek all day. Shoes that grip on wet rocks. Water. I would not recommend drinking from Hat Hill Creek. There are side creeks where we can refill. Leave a change of clothes in the car. Canyon Grade 2. Bushwalk Grade 5.

We will then walk to Roseville via Loyal Henry Park. Early exit at Roseville Station. We then walk back to Fullers Bridge. Optional lunch at the cafe.  Leader will be Mike Pickles.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out for yourself why this unique area, currently under threat, must be protected, now. Drive to approximately GR 468 058 on the Deep Pass Trail. Head down a spur trending slightly west of south and then south as it nears Dingo Creek. Visit Howling Arch, an amazing natural feature. Enter Dingo Creek and progress downstream for about 1.3km, visiting the scenic Pool of Diana on the way, continue underneath high cliffs to GR 476 048, the start of a north, north-west trending ravine. Follow the ravine up, visiting the spectacular Pool of Aphrodite along the way, to eventually reconnect with the trail and the vehicles. About 6km. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.

Beautiful sandstones, waterfalls, wildflowers and trees. Majestic views at Martin's Lookout but very steep climb to get there... Some parts are 47% climb. Expect a long day as we are taking our time to climb. Some part of the track is hard. Steep and slippery sections. Goretex boots an advantage. Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure. Please check your mailbox the night before to make sure walk is still.

Then we take the Hermitage Foreshore Track to Rose Bay. It includes some street walking. Quite a few stairs in places.

Paddle | A canoe or kayak trip(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) From Bowral Pool we depart at 8:30am which is one hour earlier than normal departure time. We drive to Safari Kayaking located in Kangaroo Valley arriving around 9’ish where we select our kayaks/canoes and life jackets. Kangaroo Safari transport our boats to Bendeela and the car pool follows on. Once set up and in the water, we head upstream for about 3km to a lunch spot and then make our way back to Bendeela where our boats are returned to Safari Kayaking and we drive back to Bowral. The cost per person for boat hire is $45 (TBC) cash payable on the day. Please have the right amount of cash as we need to make a single payment. Cossies, hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinking water will be the go. Mostly still water. Possibility of one short section with quick flow if river is flowing.

Descend to the Wollangambe at GR 598 925, and walk/swim/float/scramble down the river to around GR 629 924. Climb out to the first car. Participants must be competent swimmers and be able to handle scrambling and exposure. Helmets and wet suits are essential. Lilo is recommended. About 6 km. Partly exploratory.

Some rock scrambling involved on the climb out.Wetsuit is needed and helmet is advised(bike helmet will do fine)
