The first Australian Canyoning Festival, hosted by the NSW Canyoning Association (NSWCA) is being held at Mt Wilson, NSW. The Festival will consist of skill enhancing workshops, presentations, sponsor displays and equipment sales. This is a unique opportunity to meet other canyoners, share experiences and have fun. The Carlingford Train Line is closing on January 5 2020. This walk is to say goodbye to this mostly single-track line and hear some of the histories of the line.
This walk is in 2 parts. Walk from Dundas to Telopea via the Vineyard Creek Track (generally level to uphill) - 2.5km. Then catch the train from Telopea to the end of the line at Carlingford and return to Telopea via the K13 Memorial and The Ponds Walk (generally level to downhill) - 4.5km.
Coffee at Telopea Shops then bus return to Parramatta / Eastwood.
Dropout points available. Bush tracks, steps, ups and downs, a couple of short steep climbs which we will take slowly. Location: Vineyard Creek and The Ponds Walk View |
