(Changed Transport Details) Walk from Lithgow to Oaky Park and through culvert to Ida Falls. Visit Blast Furnace Park and Lake Pillans Wetlands on way from Lithgow Station. Catch bus back to Lithgow. A torch for the culvert might be handy if it is foggy. One creek crossing is on logs and a metre above creek. A couple of steep dirt embankments have only rough steps cut into them. Walk one of the iconic trails in Sydney. Leave Taronga Zoo and walk through bush with the harbour a constant companion. Time to make the acquaintance of the many water dragons who call this part of the city home. A steep climb (taken slowly) up to Bradleys Head for lunch then after lunch down the steps to Balmoral. Three choices now available: 1. Catch the bus to Taronga and a ferry back to Circular Quay. 2. Catch a bus back to the city. or 3. Join the leader on a bus to Manly with a ferry ride back to the city.

Bring your Opal Card and catch the 8:50am train departing Central Railway Station to Lithgow. Once in Lithgow you will met by a mini bus and taken to visit Lithgow’s spectacular Gardens of Stone as well as to State Mine Museum, Eskbank House Museum, Secret Creek Sanctuary. Stay overnight at the Lithgow Workers Club Motel. Return to Central Station by 6:30pm the following evening. Cost includes lunches, dinner, breakfast, afternoon tea, transport, guided tours and entrance fees.
