If you're looking for a scenic workout, the Bilgola Plateau loop is a great walk. This walk follows a good track to climb from Newport Beach through Attunga Reserve, with views over the coastline. It descends a little before climbing steeply through the breathtaking rainforest gully in the Crown of Newport Reserve. Suburban roads lead up the Bilgola Plateau and a glimpse of Pittwater . The walk returns downhill with a steady descent through beautiful Angophora Reserve, then steeply to a stand of Cabbage Tree Palms. The optional return to Newport is via Bilgola Beach and South Bilgola Headland. Many steps (up & down), slippery when wet; one busy street crossing Location: Newport Map: Bilgola Limit: 14. View |

Down steeply to Knapsack Viaduct. Walk up 'Heartbreak Hill' to view the recently sealed zig zag railway track, Top Points and new look out. Descent again. Track to under the railway line and to Leonay Oval. Roads to the Nepean River. Cross M4 road bridge. Walk through Tench Reserve. Cross Yanghai bridge and on to Emu Plains station. McPhails Fire Trail is a downhill walk from the highlands into Kangaroo Valley. The Pipeline Lookout is an excellent morning tea stop before descending through rainforest and around Mt Carrialoo into the valley.

(Fully Booked) We have an opportunity to explore some of the best of the North Shore of Sydney Harbour. Starting at Balmoral Beach with its little jetty and huge fig trees; to Middle Head to explore fortifications and cliff top views beyond the Heads; then through angophora trees to Georges Heights and barracks converted to artist studios; and on to Clifton Gardens for lunch. Then we will walk beside secluded bays to the navy memorials at Bradley’s Head. Then it is a short walk to Taronga Zoo for a Ferry to Circular Quay and trains home. Limit: 20. View |

We paddle up kangaroo river and pass Bundanoon creek. At Beehive point we turn into Yurunga creek. Here we explore the old road that once lead from the southern highlands to Nowra and desppares under water to resurface on the other side. Will explore Yurunga creek. Return to our lunch spot across from Beehave point.

Walk from Cheltenham Railway Station to Epping Railway Station via the Lane Cove National Park. We will follow the fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction with the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow the GNW until the Terrys Creek Track turnoff. Follow this track through various parks until we come to Terrys Creek Falls. We will then back track and walk to the Epping Railway Station. Possible sightings of flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom along this walk. The track could be rough and slippery in parts. Creek crossings. Limit: 15. View |

Starting on Nattai Road W11E and turning off on Starlights Trail, and follow to Emmetts Flat. Morning tea at camping areas. Return on Starlights Trail and turn off to Point Hill for lunch. Continue to the junction with Ahearn Lookout Track and follow to views over Nattai River valley. Return to car parked on Nattai Road. This is a long walk that needs a reasonable pace to complete in one day, with at least six hours of walking time. Allowing some time to check out the Nattai River near the camping area and views at lookouts for a late finish. Hazards include creek crossings, slippery rocks and hard to follow tracks. From Steamers Beach carpark, we follow fire trails and a short on-road section to Stoney Creek for morning tea and a swim if hot. We then proceed southwesterly on rough tracks to Paradise Rock for lunch with a view, then a short but rough, steep and scrubby off-track section should land us on Steamers Beach for a snack and maybe another swim, and then the main track back to the cars.
