17 Apr, Sat 2:00PM Brokers Nose Traverse | Slow paced and easy going
Grade:2/6 Illawarra Branch
Jenae J.
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFamily | A trip that is planned to cater for children and their parents.First time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)Slow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace. The walk can be a (little) steep in sections so ideally some average fitness will assist - however we are going to be taking it very slow! This walk will be ideal for people a bit worried to take on a group walk because of their fitness, we are going to take it very slow, stopping often and taking it very easy so we all enjoy the walk without fear of being too slow or too unfit. A classic Wollongong walk to our most iconic peak. An easy paced walk taking you through various types of bushland with sneaky peaks to the Illawarra below. The walk meanders through creek beds and scrub with opportunities to spot wildlife and interesting plant life. This is a family-friendly walk, so book a family ticket and bring the kids. There is a significant cliff section, so only bring kids that are old enough to follow strict direction - ie. this is not a terrible two friendly walk. We will be taking our time taking in the sites and a chance to meet new people. If you like to take photos, there are some terrific photo opportunities available and a great chance to have an epic shot at the summit - I can help here for the perfect social media photo! In the event of rain the walk will still go ahead but may be modified to suit the conditions.
