Sunday July 24th and Sat-Sun July 30th-31st. This remote area first aid course is specifically designed to meet the first aid needs of bushwalkers, wilderness guides, and people who work or live in remote locations. The course covers everything from comprehensive first aid treatments to aeromedical evacuation, long-term care, self-care, and contingency planning. This course is focused on the safety of the first aider and extended care of an ill or injured casualty where help is likely to be delayed or inaccessible. After visiting the Stony Range Regional Botanic Gardens, Brookvale, this walk follows Greendale Creek and Harbord Lagoon to the beach. It crosses the entrance of the lagoon before climbing up to the headland then follows the shore north to Dee Why. Further up the beach it crosses the mouth of Dee Why lagoon. (Fully Booked) Red Rocks & Brown Mtn are on the top of Mt Cambewarra. A rough fire trail leads out to a trig point overlooking Kangaroo Valley. On the return, a side track leads out to Brown Mountain lookout for views over the south coast. Aboriginal rubbings are seen on both tracks.

This time we will start at La Perouse & walk back to Little Bay/Maroubra, as it is easier to get to & meet there. Feel free to exit at any point. We will try to explore the historical Bare Island & the rifle range headland. This is a gentle & interesting walk with spectacular views with walks in streets, bush tracks, headlands & beaches. Beautiful wild flowers are already in bloom. We saw quite a few whales at closer range last time. View |

Walk down through beautiful rainforest near to the southern entrance to the Helensburgh railway tunnel. On via well walked tracks through some stands of massive old growth trees.
