We will finish in Rozelle, with many options for lunch - pub, pizza, Thai, etc. There's plenty of shade if it's hot weather. Train from Central at 9:42 arrives Lewisham 9:55. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)Slow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.(Date Changed) This is a beautiful walk taking in the gorgeous bush around the Mt Kembla area. The walk can be a little steep in sections so ideally, some average fitness will assist. The walk enjoys a lush cabbage tree palm forest and explores historic mining sites around the Mt Kembla area, including a stop in the Windy Gully cemetery. The walk is quite long and does have some hills, but is not overly strenuous. The preference is for adults, but if you want to bring older children over 10yo who are adept at bushwalking it's fine to bring them. This is about a 3hr walk allowing plenty of time to take in the bush, take some photos, meet some new people and enjoy the sights. Snakes and slippery sections. View

Highlights: Norths Lookout, Therabulat Lookout, Six Foot Track, Cliff Walk, the Explorers Tree, beautiful forests and views. On the way to Katoomba, we'll also walk the old Catalina Raceway and Walford Lake track. We'll also see the Aboriginal Display Track. If you fancy chocolates, a visit to Blue Mts Chocolate Co, 176 Lurline St is highly recommended. Steep and slipppery sections. Steep and slippery sections. It takes board walks north through some wonderfully regenerated  coastal scrub to reach the southern end of Maroubra beach. From there the Boora Point track leads south along sandstone clifftops, providing spectacular views for which the Malabar Headland is known. If the weather is hot we will stop for a quick swim at Malabar beach (or in the shade of the trees) before finishing back at Pioneer Park.  This is a circular walk. Clifftops.

HAZARDS:  Rough track, slippery creek crossings, steep sections.

Book kayaks with Pamela 0458606646 by 4th February. From Bowral Pool we depart at 8:30am which is one hour earlier than normal departure time. We drive to Safari Kayaking located in Kangaroo Valley arriving around 9’ish where we select our kayaks/canoes and life jackets. Kangaroo Safari will transport our kayaks to Bendeela and the carpool follows on. Once set up and in the water, we head upstream for about 3km to a lunch spot and then make our way back to Bendeela where our boats are returned to Safari Kayaking and we drive back to Bowral. The cost per person for boat hire is $45 (TBC) cash payable on the day. Please have the right amount of cash as we need to make a single payment. Cossies, hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinking water will be the go. Hazards:  Mostly still water. Possibility of one short section with quick flow if river is flowing.

Walking the Empire Pass Track and passing the waterfalls of North Lawson. From Frederica Falls take North Lawson Trail and join Lawson Swamp Track. Then walk North Lawson Fire trail to Amphitheatre Falls. Include Blue Mountain on return. Hazards include creek crossings and slippery surfaces.
