|Park the cars at GR 332 062, near spot height 1110. Walk north north west, then west to GR 323 070, near spot height 1066. Continue underneath the cliff line and explore the multiple ravines of Kangaroo Creek, going south, until about GR 330 062. Re-connect with the vehicles. About 8 km. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

|High above the Newnes Campground is Old Baldy, a massive set of cliffs named by rock climbers and within its rocky face is the Skywalker Traverse, along a series of ledges and overhangs. This is a great walk and not that difficult although it does entail some scrambling, mainly off-track walking, but certainly worth it. Rock scrambling.

|Springtime is upon us and this walk will showcase a bounty of wildflowers that only the Sydney sandstone region can achieve! We will follow the eastern side of Girrakool Creek down over Piles Creek before heading south over Scopas Peak, then the Hawkesbury Track, the old Woy Woy Road, past the scout camp and back along the western Girrakool circuit back to the start. Expect lots of scenic lookouts, beautiful waterfalls, and of course a mass of wildflowers including Waratahs which should be coming into bloom.

They were divided into a number of different 'clans', whose quick demise upon European settlement has sadly resulted in very little information remaining on how they utilised the local area.
