Bundanoon Creek offers some spectacular cliff faces. From Tallowa Dam Picnic area we head NE up Lake Yarrunga (Kangaroo River) for 2.5km then head north into Bundanoon Creek for 4.5km to the head waters. On the return, we will take a short 2km detour up Sandy Creek before heading back to the start.

The walk will use a series of bush tracks from the eastern end of Excelsior Avenue along sections of Darling Mills Creek and its feeder Creeks. Well shaded.
Coffee to finish: probably the best option is to hop on a bus on Old Northern Road and go to Castle Towers or The Grove at Baulkham Hills.

(Updated Details) Well, it's that time of year again when all keen walkers head down to the Kosciuszko National Park to explore, engage with nature and experience the beauty of the region and the superb walks that the high country has to offer.

The Alpine flowers should be at their peak at this time of year, and the fresh air is most invigorating! Also, there is a new major track to check out and much, much more.
As in previous years, we will stay at Charlottes Pass in a very comfortable abode, The Southern Alps ski lodge, and from this centrally located residence, we will venture out on day walks. This lodge is totally DIY and rooms are twin-share with larger rooms accommodating up to 4 people.i can accommodate a couple of single people but theres a single supplement.Regarding sharing I'll arrange rooms with a woman sharing with another woman and visa versa! When the heat of summer is upon us, where do you head? To a Blue Mountains canyon to cool off and revive body and soul! On this trip we will experience not 1 but 3 canyons with Du Faur Canyon being the main course. The equally spectacular, but much shorter October Creek being the entree, and the Joes Canyon the dessert for what promises to be a superb day swimming, paddling and savouring these amazingly beautiful locations. I can promise you an amazing aquatic time! You'll need a helmet, wetsuit and I recommend a flotation device such as a surfmat, and life jacket as there are some longish swims involved. (Date Changed) From the camp ground at Beehive Point we will head up Yarrunga Creek for 4 kms to the head of waters. On the way we will view the magnificient stone walls of the original road from Kangaroo Valley to Mossvale. See the old road disappear into the waters of Lake Yarrunga and reappear further upstream. On return to Beehive point we can optionally poke around the numerous inlets for some bonus paddles.

The 10km Manly Scenic Walkway beings at Manly Wharf, passes sandy beaches, ancient Aboriginal sites and incredible lookouts, before arriving at the Spit Bridge where you can catch a bus to the city.

This is one of my favourite coastal walks as there are tons of variety along the way, including several superb beaches to swim at, the incredible Cathedral Rocks to admire, and the dramatic Bombo Quarry area with its raging sea and towering rock columns to admire. Twister Canyon is, without a doubt, one of the most fun canyons you can do without needing to abseil as it has multiple pools in which to jump and swim or, in places, scramble down. It isn't very long and usually takes about 3 hours and then runs into Rocky Creek Canyon. I plan to do Rocky Creek just before the big swim and reverse back up the canyon, depending on water levels.
