|Ben Bullen State Forest west of the Great Dividing Range encapsulates, in a relatively small area, everything that is exciting and interesting about bushwalking – incredible rock sculptures, tall pagodas, narrow slot canyons, magnificent caves, verdant forests and more. This unique area is currently under serious threat from mining. Find out why this area must be protected for future generations. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.

|(Leader Changed) Walk to Three Sisters. Descend Giant Stairway. Walk down to Sublime Point Trail from Dardanelle and Federal Passes. Walk through the open area that was the Sewerage Farm and follow track up to Leura Cascades and back to Katoomba. Steep sections. Some metal stairways are narrow and can be slippery.

|The track follows the Nattai River from the lake to Nattai Creek where the track to the falls leaves the main track and follows the Nattai Creek Track to the falls. From the Falls a steep climb leads to the Boxvale Track. Rough track, slippery rocks, creek crossing and steep steps.

|After checking out the spectacular view into the Shoalhaven River from Badgerys Lookout we descend 500m down the track to the river. Along the river we have several options: one option is checking out Tryers Gorge just upstream of Sparkes Buttress and another is to wander along the casurinas before having lunch and then ascending back to the cars via the same route. Slips, trips, falls and bites.

|(Fully Booked) Rising up from the Wolgan Valley in isolation, Donkey Mountain has always had a great appeal to me and in this my 6th visit I'll explore a few nooks and crannies I haven't been to before! Be prepared to be knocked out by the superlative views from its pagoda studded summit and by the numerous small rooms, slots and passes as we travel from one end to the other. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

|From NPWS Pretty Beach Car park, ascend Durras Mtn along forest tracks. Descend to coast via the east trail and return via coast. Some rock–hopping. One of the best walks in the region! Note early start to beat the heat and leave time for leisurely lunch, swim/snorkel at Snake Bay.

|With train station at each end this walk explores the ridges and valleys around Berowra Waters. There are
plenty of excellent views, especially at Naa Badu Lookout and the many creek vantage points along the way. There are some solid climbs on this walk so be sure to allow enough time. And we can even have lunch midday! We'll need the rest before heading up the hill. Some steep sections.

|Walk past the present prison farm then out to the Nepean River at the end of Russel St. After a wander through Emu Plains we cross the new footbridge over the Nepean and on to Penrith. Mostly footpaths. Some gravel road. At the end of Russel St we follow old car tracks through the sand, grass and scrub; so not all smooth.
