Cycling mostly on quiet roads and bike paths to Canley Vale for coffee, then on bike paths to the M7 cycle way, then to Rooty Hill Pub for lunch (or BYO). Continue to Richmond Road cycle path, then onto Windsor. I have booked a room at the Windsor Hotel, 54 George Street, Windsor. Best to book your accommodation early, after contacting leader. Local Pub for dinner (possibility of a band Saturday night). Sunday 20 September, Windsor Mall Markets from 9am, departing Windsor approx. 10am. ""Picnic lunch"" on the way back. Returning to Chipping Norton between 4 - 5pm. Limited numbers. Approx. 65 kms each way. A social weekend away. View

The pre-course on-line learning is a compulsory part of the course, and must be completed before you attend the face-to-face day. Theory content can be found on this link. Park cars at Airly Gap, then climb south east, inspecting historic graffiti and Aboriginal art sites along the way. Negotiate a series of pagodas and slots, including Genowlan Pinch, to arrive at the spectacular Airly Frustum. Continue climbing to the point above Airly Turret Slot and the stunning view. Next, visit Mine in the Sky with its historic infrastructure. From here, proceed to explore the bottom of Airly Turret Slot. Reconnect with the vehicles. crambling and exposure.

Join in for two-panel discussions facilitated by well-known ABC journalists Kerry O’Brien and Mick O’Regan focused on the bushfires in and around Nightcap National Park and their impact on Gondwana and lowland subtropical rainforests. Free registration will grant access to the footage release, airing 6 PM Sunday 20th September. Listen to experts who were involved in fighting the bushfires and their assessments of the impacts in Nightcap National Park and nearby rainforest. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) Ahearn's Lookout is found by following the beginning of Starlight's Track.  Take a left fork leading to Rocky Waterholes Lookout and just past this junction look for a right turn which meanders along the ridge to Ahearn's Lookout.  This gives views over the Nattai with Mt Jellore easily identified.  Return by the same route. Rough track, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) Cambewarra Range Nature Reserve is on the top of Mt Cambewarra.  A rough fire trail leads out to a trig point overlooking Kangaroo Valley.  On the return, a side track leads out to Brown Mountain Lookout over the coast.  Aboriginal rubbings are seen on both tracks. Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, slippery after rain.

  • Co-leader: Kevin Cliffe. In 2015, I saw thousands of waratahs. It's because it was after a bushfire. We had bushfires again this year. So hopefully, we'll see many waratahs. No guarantee though. After the waratahs patches, we'll proceed to a Trig Station and Bungleboorie Lookout. Along the Third Settlement we continue to Baden Powel place where the bush tracks start. We follow the Pemulwuy Track till the creek and continue on the Moxham Park trail, finishing at Churchil Drive. Then bus 706 or walk to Windsor Rd for bus 600, or 601 to Parramatta. Limit: 8. View

From the bottom of the gorge we will head upstream to Jacks Pass. Covid safe distancing & hand sanitizer etc to be observed. Steep uneven track, unfenced cliffs, slippery water crossing.
