Red Rocks & Brown Mtn are on the top of Mt Cambewarra. A rough fire trail leads out to a trig point overlooking Kangaroo Valley. On the return, a side track leads out to Brown Mountain lookout for views over the south coast. Aboriginal rubbings are seen on both tracks.

Walk to the old Catalina Raceway and through The Gully to Katoomba Cascades. Descend Furber Steps for views of Katoomba Falls and the Three Sisters. The Federal Pass takes us amongst the trees below the cliffs to the Leura Forest. Then a long climb up to Fern Bower and the exit at Merriwa St. Walk back to Katoomba Station. Good track. Walks will be in the RNP near the headwaters of the Hacking River which drains off the Illawarra escarpment.
The infamous Peabody Metropolitan Colliery is located further up Camp Gully Creek. The mine has illegally discharged coal waste material into these waterways on numerous occasions in recent years. If you’re curious about the ongoing impacts on the ecosystem downstream, this is a good opportunity to see the evidence for yourself.

Starting from Buxton Ave on the edge of Nattai NP, we follow a short distance on fire trails to pick up a track that leads us down to the Blue Forest in Thirlmere Lakes NP. Generally downhill with a total descent of 200m. Car shuffle required.

(Updated Details) Celebrate Mr Pickles 89 birthday at Baulkham Hills : Heritage Walk.
The walk starts at the rose garden in Roxbrough Park Road.
There is some street walking to reach Crestwood Reserve.
There are shared walk/cycle ways through the reserve .
The walk continues as far as Seven Hills Road and the leads back through Tory Burn Reserve to Windsor Road and back to the Rose Garden.

(Date Changed) Red Ledge Pass is one of the many scenic passes off the Narrowneck that are worth a visit but still pose a bit of a challenge as it's steep in parts with a rough track only to the top of the pass with a bush bash down into the valley. Then it's a walk along to Devils Hole, which is very scenic with its small stand of rainforest and giant chockstone. Off-track and scrambling. We then descend on the steep northwestern side, where the (ex)track is very overgrown, and join Wombat Ridge Trail. Park the cars near Angus Place. Walk on trail to SH 1127, then off trail north east to SH 1095. Descend into Kangaroo Creek at around GR 329 060, then follow the cliff line and ledges all the way to GR 315 056. Exit to Angus Place Trail and walk back to vehicles. About 12 km.
