This is a foreshore urban walk, via Barangaroo, Cockle Bay, Pyrmont Bay and Point Park, walking through the Fish Market area where you can view the building of the new Fish Market, Pyrmont Bridge by Wentworth Park, Blackwattle Bay and Park, which is reclaimed land dedicated as parkland, with some interesting history to read, buildings and relics of interest and onto Glebe Point - see the Moreton Bay Figs,  Bicentennial Park to the light rail at Jubilee Park which takes us to Central Station. Mainly level walk.

Passing through historical properties, then cross over on the punt. Return to the start over John Whitton Bridge. There are train stations along the way if you prefer a shorter ride or getting tired. Unfortunately, riding an e-bike on this trip will mean that you are not covered under NPA club insurance; Bushwalking Australia is working to see if it can be covered for future trips. Mostly on cycle paths, but some road crossings with vehicle traffic. Be aware of other track users, debris /damage/uneven path, and possible mechanical failers. Limit: 10. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Updated Details) As part of Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads walks series, we will walk from Shellharbour (Junction) to Kiama mostly on the 'Kiama Coast Walk'. This section takes us on pathway over the Minnamurra River, see the spectacular river entrance, headlands, beaches and rock platforms to Kiama harbour and lighthouse. Those from Sydney take South Coast train departing Central 07:29, arriving Shellharbour Junction 09:34. Walk starts at Shellharbour Junction station and finishes at Kiama station. Part of the Great South Coast Walk  (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total.   Limit: 15. Continue down the watercourse and then clockwise around the cliffs till about GR 979 990. Climb to the ridge and walk back to the cars. Exploratory. About 11 km. Scrambling and exposure.

NEW track down from Martin Place (no scrambling down steep hill). Sassafras Ridge fire trail.  Find track to kangaroo rock carving. Down to creek. Then up Sassafras Track to Springwood station. NOTE if parking at Linden first and unfamiliar with the area contact me for directions. Linden is an isolated station, no shops etc. Steep, rough, could be slippery whether wet or dry leaves.

Walking under the Highway near the RAAF Base we discover a disused railway tunnel and an old tramway, used to build the present railway line. We will follow the tramway to its end and see some more great views. Much, but not all the change in elevation on this walk is downhill. We finish at Lapstone Station. Booking essential. A few rough sections of track.

After backtracking a short distance we then traverse a new track through to Radcliffs lookout for lunch. After lunch it's a short backtrack to pick up a track down through a glen to the ruins of a farm house and then on to Lake Werri Berri where we make our way back to the cars. Hazards: Some rough track and unfenced cliffs.

Steep and slippery sections, several creek crossings. May get wet feet depending on water level in the creek. Limit: 15. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSocial | A trip where people will be encouraged to interact and chat with each other.(Fully Booked) Starting from Buxton Ave on the edge of Nattai NP, we follow a short distance on fire trails to pick up a track that leads us down to the W44 fire trail in the Blue Forest of Thirlmere Lakes NP. Head east on W44  to a locked gate and continue along W.E Middleton Drive until reaching a fire trail on our right and heading south. At the end of the fire trail is a lookout. From hear we pick out way off-track down the gully and head up the other side and make our way back to the starting point. Unfenced cliffs. Steep sections.

We walk from Meadowbank Station, over the old railway bridge across the Parramatta River and onto the Kokoda Track walkway and continuing along the picturesque river foreshore to the Cabarita Ferry wharf. Regular ferry services from here to Meadowbank and the city. Booking essential giving your NPA membership, mobile and emergency contact numbers, please, if you are new to my walks. Uneven ground in places and puddles. Some street walking and light traffic to contend with as well as some cyclists.
