This unique but unprotected area, part of the Gardens of Stone region, has an active coal mine underneath it. Find out why it must be protected for future generations. Park at GR 238 326 at Airly Gap and walk up the western tributary of Gap Creek. Explore its northern branch, then climb out to the tops at about GR 231 335 and explore the pagoda spurs on the northern side of Gap Creek, moving east. Descend into Airly Gap. Then we’ll catch the Mortlake ferry, walk through the Breakfast Point development, Village Green and past Country Club to Cabarita wharf. River views. Reserves, steps, ups and downs, mostly sealed paths, some unsealed and uneven tracks, quiet street walking. Limit: 12. View

Starting at Clive Park, Northbridge it uses bush tracks and footpaths to connect from water level at Tunks Park, Cammeray, up over the ridge at St Leonards, to water level at Gore Cove Reserve, Wollstonecraft, climbing up to Greenwich and finishing at the ferry wharf. (Fully Booked) Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve is between Bowral and Mittagong.  The walk takes in views of Mt Gibraltar (Highest point between Sydney and Canberra), Ninety Acre Hill Lookout and a track which winds through a beautiful fern gully. The track is sometimes overgrown and difficult to locate. Hazards:  Rough track, steep sections, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges Map: Mittagong 8929-2S Limit: 20. View

Continues along the coastal cliffs at south end of Royal National Park before going inland through forest. Cross the Hacking River and continue through the Garawarra State Conservation Area to Helensburgh Station. Cliff edges, steep slopes, river crossing. Day 2 – Walk to St Johns Point, then descend to Canobla Gap Trail and walk back to the cars. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. From Apple Tree Bay follow track along Cowan Creek and then main track back to Mt Kuring-gai. Take track to Berowa Creek through Lyrebird Gully and follow Berowra Creek track to Berowa Station. The complete walk is long and suitable for experienced walkers. The first part that returns to Mt Kuring-gai could be suitable for walkers looking for a short walk but with challenging sections. Options for exit from walk at Mt Kuring-gai.   Walk may be postponed due to COVID restrictions.   Steep decent on rough track, cliff edges. Map: Berowa Limit: 15. View

(Cancelled) Starting from Bundeena wharf, walk to Jibbon Beach, stop to have a look at the Aboriginal rock carvings, continue to Part Hacking Point, Shelly Beach, Cormorant Rock, The Balconies, Wedding Cake Rock, turn around at Marley Beach Lookout, back to The Balconies and then along the track back to Bundeena. Hopefully, we will see whales migrating North. Please bring a pair of binoculars if you have one. Steep and slippery sections, ridge walking, little shade. Location: bundeena Limit: 15. View
