After a break we will backtrack and follow the Hacking River fire trail and cross the Hacking. We then follow the Red Cedar Circuit and cross back over the river. Now we ascend a short off-track section to pick up a variety of tracks leading back to Helensburgh Station. River crossings, cliff edges, loose stones.

From the second car, descend The Gurgler and visit the Flying Carpet. Walk back underneath the cliff line to Koan Cave, then continue south via Koan Pass and above the cliff line, all the way to Michelangelo Cave. Visit Michaels Chair and re-connect with the first car. Scrambling and exposure.

We plan a camping weekend at Batehaven, a Saturday paddle around islands in the Clyde River; and on Sunday we will do a walk past and/or a boat trip with snorkeling to Snapper and Tollgate Islands. We are waiting on detailed costings on this, and will supply details in due course. If all else fails there will be the Saturday paddle and a coast walk on the Sunday. People can camp or travel to one or other or both. PFD compulsory. View

Park on the road from Mount Airly to Genowlan Trig where there is suitable space. Walk up the road to the top of the plateau and then take the road to Genowlan Trig. Leave this road at about GR 253 320 and head east to the top, southern end of the Valley of the Dinosaurs. We will then proceed down the valley stopping to explore as many slots as possible on both sides. Next, visit the Ultimate Slot and then return to the road and to the vehicles. Scrambling and exposure.

He will provide evidence about the reality of shark bites as opposed to the fictions presented by the media and politicians. What is the real risk and should we be worried about it? Culum is at the School of Biological Sciences at Macquarie University. His main field of study is the behavioural ecology of fishes with a special interest in fish learning and memory. View
