|McPhails Fire Trail is a downhill walk from the highlands into Kangaroo Valley. The Pipeline Lookout is an excellent morning tea stop before descending through rain forest and around Mt Carrialoo into the valley. Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, very steep descent.

derschkos and round mountain camping near many of these as they offer shelter when the weather turns foul and good flat campsites.The highlight,literally of the trip is climbing Mt Jagungal from Okeefes Hut but the various frost hollow plains and what is usually spectacular floral displays are also worth coming along for!
