To the North of Blackfellows Cave is a small plateau which I've always wanted to explore. It is dissected by a couple of small creeks including Holy Grail ravine and populated by spectacular pagodas and of course wonderful views from the stunning clifflines which includes Last Crusade point. I had this trip planned last year but heavy rain made me cancel it so I'm keen to explore it in better weather hopefully! rock scrambling and offtrack Location: Gardens of Stone NP Map: Cullen Bullen 89313N Limit: 12. Mostly walking along roads to get to Inspiration Point and Sublime Point. Some out and back tracks at Inspiration Point to Moya Point Lookout and Gladstone Lookout. Cross Lillians Bridge and walk the Nature Trail to Wentworth Falls. Some lookouts unfenced. An optional track does go close to the edge. Location: Leura Map: Katoomba Limit: 20. View

The day starts at Grosvenor Place, 225 George Street Sydney. An iconic masterpiece by Harry Seidler. We meet at the piazza where you can have lunch, eg coffee shop, Yum Cha Project. Then we walk to Sydney Observatory, Barangaroo and along the water front to St Mary's Cathedral. We can have afternoon tea under the Harbour Bridge Pylon, then walk to IGA where you can buy something for a picnic around the Cathedral. We’ll gather around the Eastern Door of the cathedral at 6pm.We will climb the stairs at the conclusion of mass. The mass starts at 5:30. You are welcome to attend the mass. We'll see the bells being rung by the St Mary's bellringers from 6.15pm and we can see the bells hanging in the belfry afterwards at 7.15pm. Finishing time will be approximately 7.30pm Fitness is required for this walk. There are 111 spiral stairs to the ringing room and a few flights of stairs to the belfry. Many steps. This is a rare opportunity that only a few members can join. Only RSVP if you can commit 100%. Limit: 6. View

This walk has a lot of variety and of course wonderful views, interesting rocks to climb and a lot more, and incorporates two tracks not often used, The Lions Head and the Goats track at Wentworth Falls. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Katoomba 89301S Limit: 20. View

Halfway down Magdala Creek turn off track and climb up to Yondell Ave. Descend Wiggins Track and follow Sassafras Creek and then Glenbrook Creek to Perch Ponds. It's a long climb back up Magdala Creek to Springwood Station. Mostly on tracks. Some off track though. Some scrambling over, under and through fallen trees. Creek crossings. Wet rocks could be slippery. Location: Springwood Map: Springwood Limit: 20. View

The Pretty Plain area is a lovely part of Kosciuszko National Park. Great scenery, lovely bushland, and two of the best of the huts to camp nearby. Even better, we spend multiple days near each hut (two nights at Pretty Plain and three nights at Wheelers). Access is via Dargals and Hell Hole Trails to Pretty Plain. We return along Pretty Plain and take the shortcut across to Wheelers Hut. Return is again via Dargals Trail. At the start and end of walk we stay at a Ski Lodge at Jindabyne with the usual BBQs on the deck overlooking the lake. A lovely walk with lots of relaxing time. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 12. We will start our journey from the campsite at Wog Wog and travel via Corang Peak, Corang Arch, Profile rock to a comfortable camp cave at Burrumbeet brook. Then on day two we travel over Mt. Tarn to the superb camp cave situated on Mt. Haughton, complete with nearby waterfall. On our last day we travel via Stiles creek, Round mountain, the Endrick River and the Redgrounds track back to our cars near the Alum creek firetrail. In every way this is a walk on the wild side and with the briskness of Winter upon us a warming campfire at night and the stars above, this will certainly be one memorable walk worth doing.
