  We use the light rail to Carlingford, walk to and from Mobbs Hill with a climb and descent here- about 100m ascent and then 100m descent - each over about 1Km
Light Rail from Carlingford to Rosehill l- UWS Campus- coffee and eat at their cafe (or bring your own).
Then we walk the walk/cycle track to Rydalmere Ferry and then home via Rivercat to Parramatta or Circular Quay or Barangaroo or.......

   Co-led by a local who will give an overview of the archaeology in the Congo area. Start at the Congo Campground parking area on CampGround Road. Walk along Congo Road onto the Bingi Dreaming Track (all on track). Wear good boots, long pants, hat, afternoon tea, water.   Rising high above the surrounding farmlands is an isolated ridge of pink and grey granite, the stunning, and in places rugged, Evans Crown nature reserve, where there are many outcrops certainly worth exploring and climbing for the magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Also, at this time of the year the wattle is usually in full flower so the hills are covered in gold making walking in the area even more compelling!   This year marks the 46th year of Mid North Coast's branch involvement in on-ground habitat restoration in Crowdy Bay National Park. This year’s camp based at Kylie’s Beach will be held from Monday 16th June to Sunday 22nd June, with camp set up on Sunday for those who wish to begin work on Monday morning. If new people are interested, there are no camping fees and volunteers are welcome to attend for however long they like. However, they must register as a volunteer with NPWS. I can direct you on how to do this. We have use of a trailer fully equipped with cooking and eating gear and small gas stoves. A large tarpaulin is stretched out from the trailer to cover our ‘dining area’. Location: Crowdy Bay NP

  This walk requires train and car travel. We will meet at the Emu Plains Railway station car park at 9.15am. We will then drive to the entrance of the National Park where we will be commencing our walk from. Scenic views of the Nepean River from the walking track are spectular. Banksias, wattles devilhood flowers are currently in bloom.
Passengers in the vehicles will be required to contribute to the drivers petrol cost. This will probably be about $15 per person. I will probably be looking for a couple of drivers.
There are no public toilets in the National Park. Care must be taken near the edge of the lookouts as many of the views are unfenced.
Exposed tree roots could be a hazard. Limit: 16.

From Sublime Point Lookout we will make our way along the Illawarra Escarpment Walk & Forest Walk for some magnificent views and the embrace the tall blackbutt-apple shale forest before descending to the Wodi Wodi track to Stanwell Park Railway Station.
Note: Car shuffle required. Hazards: Unfenced cliffs.
This is a predominantly downhill walk with a steepish 200m descent at the end of the walk as we descend into Stanwell Park. Location: Illawarra Escarpment SR Limit: 20.
