Rising high above the surrounding farmlands is an isolated ridge of pink and grey granite, the stunning, and in places rugged, Evans Crown nature reserve, where there are many outcrops certainly worth exploring and climbing for the magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Also, at this time of the year the wattle is usually in full flower so the hills are covered in gold making walking in the area even more compelling! Who knows, maybe a dusting of snow is not impossible as the area does get the odd coverage now and again! Hazards: rock scrambling
