  Walk east on the track around the headland to the lighthouse and continue along the cliff-top track until we reach the steps down to the rock shelf. Return to car park via the rock shelf and stairs. Wear shoes that you are willing to get wet. Coffee in Ulladulla.

 Walking from Gerringong to Minnamurra is the last leg of our wonderful & epic journey. It is one of the prettiest & most spectacular walks along the shoreline. We will walk pass many headlands, beaches, cliffs, rainforest remnants & grazing fields. Along the way there is the Kiama lighthouse, 2 blowholes, Cathedral Rocks & the basalt graveyard & moonscape of Bombo Headland. There is a possibility of sightings of whales migrating, dolphins popping in & out & large eels in a creek. An interesting day.

   The day starts at Grosvenor Place, 225 George Street Sydney. An iconic masterpiece by Harry Seidler. We meet at the piazza where you can have lunch, eg coffee shop, Yum Cha Project. Then we walk to Sydney Observatory, Barangaroo and along the water front to St Mary's Cathedral. We can have afternoon tea under the Harbour Bridge Pylon, then walk to IGA where you can buy something for a picnic around the Cathedral. We’ll gather around the Eastern Door of the cathedral at 6pm.We will climb the stairs at the conclusion of mass. The mass starts at 5:30. You are welcome to attend the mass. We'll see the bells being rung by the St Mary's bellringers from 6.15pm and we can see the bells hanging in the belfry afterwards at 7.15pm. Finishing time will be approximately 7.30pm Fitness is required for this walk. There are 111 spiral stairs to the ringing room and a few flights of stairs to the belfry. Many steps. This is a rare opportunity that only a few members can join. Only RSVP if you can commit 100%. Limit: 6.

 Walk to Bulls Camp and down to Bulls Creek. See the wall of an old railway dam that is now mostly silted up. Make our way to the site where water was pumped up to Linden. Visit Paradise Pool. On the way back to Woodford we will visit the remains of an old house. Rough, vague tracks. Overgrown sections. Rusting pieces of iron amongst undergrowth at historic sites.   The route taken from Cronulla station to the east coast passes some of the colourful murals of Cronulla. The walk then turns south along the Esplanade, with ocean views changing from Cape Bailey in the north to Jibbon Head in the south. As the path turns past Bass and Flinders Point the shores of Bundeena to Maianbar and further into Port Hacking come into view.   The Pretty Plain area is a lovely part of Kosciuszko National Park. Great scenery, lovely bushland, and two of the best of the huts to camp nearby. Even better, we spend multiple days near each hut (two nights at Pretty Plain and three nights at Wheelers).
Access is via Dargals and Hell Hole Trails to Pretty Plain. We return along Pretty Plain and take the shortcut across to Wheelers Hut. Return is again via Dargals Trail.
At the start and end of walk we stay at a Ski Lodge at Jindabyne with the usual BBQs on the deck overlooking the lake. A lovely walk with lots of relaxing time. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 12.

McPhails Fire Trail is a downhill walk from the highlands into Kangaroo Valley. The Pipeline Lookout is an excellent morning tea stop before descending through rainforest and around Mt Carrialoo into the valley. Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, very steep descent.  Starting from Glenbrook station, a street walk to Bluff Reserve and through Williams, Ross and other lookouts, then along the old funicular rail track and Railway reserve to Lapstone Zig Zag and Lucasville Station. Down to Knapsack Viaduct via Sidings Lookout on to Elizabeth and Marge Lookouts and on to Lennox Bridge and back to Glenbrook Station. Nice lookout with sweeping views across the railway track and Glenbrook Creek to Mt Portal and from Liz/Marg lookouts down to Penrith Lakes and the new airport. We will walk past ruins of old funicular railway and explore area around historic Lennox Bridge. Steep and slippery sections, creek crossing. Location: Glenbrook Limit: 15.

 Walk into Garawarra State Conservation Area. From the station we explore the western side of Helensburgh township to Cawleys Trail and return to station. (approx 6kms and drop out point if you don’t want to come to the Tradies.) We will be surrounded by beautiful bushland. Then we follow the Ridge Trail (recently graded) to Fletchers Trail and on to the Helensburgh Tradies for lunch, where there is a selection of Seniors’ lunch specials. We will walk back to the station (or bus). Please let me know if you are coming for lunch. It’s an easy walk with a bit of rough tack, a few steps and up hills. We then continue to the Art Gallery and either view the Archibald , Wynne , Sulman and Young Archies OR view other art displays in the Gallery.
A seniors discount is offered for entry to special exhibitions such as the Archibald.
