Talk | A talk or slide show presentation.St John Ambulance First Aid course for bushwalkers is happening at Kingsgrove in July/August. See https://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/first-aid-training/. All participants attend day one (Sunday July 28th) and gain their Provide First Aid certificate. If they wish, participants can come back the next weekend (August 3rd and 4th) for days two and three and gain their Remote First Aid certificate. Can’t make it in July? Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Updated Details) The 100km trail features the well-known Great North Walk and the Harbour to Hawkesbury Walking Track in the beautiful bushland of northern Sydney. Section 1 starts from Parsley Bay and ends at Cowan Station. This is a popular section of the Great North Walk, with scenery ranging from foreshore to ridge top lookouts. We will follow the Great North Walk from Hawksbury Station on to picturesque Jerusalem Bay, then on to Cowan Station This walk is a great one-way trip from station to station with numerous water views, including a circumnavigation of Brooklyn Dam whilst enjoying a wonderful diversity of flora along the way. We walk to Cowan Station to catch train home. Bring lunch, snacks and water. Steep and slippery sections.

Cross the river and ascend to the Garawarra farm area. Follow cliff track and descend on the Lilyvale Track. Locate and follow the Karingal and Red Cedar Tracks to again cross the Hacking. Locate and follow a trail and ascend short off-track section to pick up a variety of tracks and return to station. River crossings, slippery conditions.

Start at Concord West Station, walk various pathways in Sydney Olympic Park, then walk back to Meadowbank Station via Rhodes Corso. Enjoy a variety of environments in Olympic Park, including the Brickpit ring walk, home of the Golden Bell Frog, Wentworth Common, the Waterbird Refuge – stilts, ducks, black swans - and Badu Mangroves. Walk out at Rhodes and along the Corso, across Meadowbank Railway Bridge and finish at Meadowbank Station. Limit: 20. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPark on the plateau at GR 250 324. Walk down Genowlan Mountain Trail to about GR 255 329 and find a way up a north-south running defile. Check the pagodas around GR 255 332 and to the south of there. From here, check the ravine and slots to the north west, then walk out on the spur to the south at GR 2525 3300. Now, use the next defile to the west to descend and eventually return back to the cars. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Section 2 starts from Cowan Station and finishes at Berowra Station. This walk explores the ridges and valleys around Berowra Waters. There are plenty of excellent views, especially at Naa Badu Lookout and the many creek vantage points along the way. There are some solid climbs on this walk. Berowra Waters, in the middle of the walk, is a great place for lunch. Bring morning tea, lunch, snacks and water. Steep and slippery sections.
