15-22 Oct, Sat (09:00AM)-Sat (14:00PM) | Spring bushwalking on Lord Howe Island
Length | 12km | 200m | Branch
Sally | |||||
(Fully Booked) Living in the uncertainties of a pandemic, we try to maximise our chance to enjoy this little paradise within NSW. Lord Howe Island is full of life in October with seabirds courting nonstop. The bushwalkers groups in May and June 2021 have set an excellent trip format that we will continue. This trip includes flights, accommodation, meals, lectures, guided walks (day walks, night walks, reef walks, mystery walks, museum walk) and any fun activities that we can slot in. We will engage the best-known local expert Ian Hutton to share his in-depth knowledge about the flora, fauna, history and conservation of this world heritage. Club insurance does not apply to this commercial trip. To get more information please email me at sally.australia@yahoo.com Location: Lord Howe Island Limit: 18. View |
15-29 Oct, Sat (09:00AM)-Sat (14:00PM) | The Bibbulmun Track: Walpole to Albany
Grade:3/6 | Length | 180km | Sydney Branch
Mark G. | |||||
(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) On this trip we will experience the best that the Bibbulmun Track has to offer in Western Australia. From the small township of Walpole, we will travel along a series of good tracks through the towering Tingle forests, colourful heathlands, beautiful beaches, granite peaks and through the towns of Peaceful Bay and Denmark where new supplies can be purchased, allowing for lighter packs. The tracks are well marked and make for easy walking. Halfway through the walk we will have a rest day in Denmark. At each campsite there is a hut which can be used as well as water supply, toilets and tables so this is hardly roughing it! The wildflowers at this time of the year are outstanding and you can expect to also see a fair amount of wildlife including seals, quokkas, wallabies and numerous birds to name a few. In short, this is a fabulous walk and one not to be missed. Limit: 17. View |
