Geoffrey.L | |||||
(Updated Details) A return walk to Watamolla as the Otford Coast Track end is closed. Relatively easy but long walk. We will pass the world famous Wedding Cake rock & Eagle rock. My favourite track & has everything. This section is mostly on board walk, beaches, trails & headlands. Spectacular headland & ocean views. A variety of coastal trees, bushes & flowers in blooom. Note: Return trip only. No mid exit. Location: Royal NP Map: royal coast track Limit: 20. View |
10 Sep, Sun 9:00AM | Point Upright and Durras Trails
Grade:3/6 | Length | 10km | Milton Branch
Shauna G. | |||||
Walk distance: 7.5 – 10 km. Stunning scenes including pristine beaches, remnant rain forest and spectacular cliffs with steep headlands, followed by a gentle forest amble along the shoreline of Durras Lake and its nature trail. The swell on the day will define how far we can travel along the rocky shoreline, but we will anyway have to pay close attention to the prevailing local conditions as we scramble over sometimes slippery boulders and possibly up a steepish cliff section. Options for swim if conditions are right, but the water temperature will likely be too cold for all but the most hardy (or silly!).

(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Jatbula Track, Northern Territory. This is a lovely track to walk. Located near Katherine in the Northern Territory. It is a 5-night through pack walk starting with a boat crossing of Katherine Gorge and ending at Edith Falls. Not too long each day with the most wonderful campsites, each with terrific swimming opportunities. Leave camp early each day and spend the afternoon in the water. A wonderful bushwalking experience! The only problem with Jatbula is that we see nothing of Katherine Gorge (except for a 5 minute boat trip across it). So, after Jatbula, we will plan an optional trip on the Gorge and other activities to be decided. Limit: 6. View |
