Hat Hill Canyon is a spectacular canyon in the upper Blue Mountains which doesn't require abseiling. There are a few short swims so a wetsuit is required as the water is usually cold. A helmet is also a good idea and if you don't have one I have plenty I can lend out. This trip was cancelled previously due to the fires then floods in 2019/20 so I'm hoping, third time is lucky. A few short compulsory swims with rock scrambling and hopping along the creek. Location: Blue Mountains NP Map: Mount Wilson 89301N View |

Co-leader: Lynne Hewitt. As a number of NPA members, even though fully vaccinnated, are tested positive, it is of utmost importance to practise good social distancing...not only avoid oncoming pedstrians but keep away from each other. No touching. Not quite the Jacaranda walk, but there are many shades of pink apart from the pink Crepe Myrtle lined streets. We walk from Canterbury Station to Ashfield. Points of interest: Canterbury Park Race Course, Canterbury Park, Gough Reserve, Yeo Park, Trinity Grammar School, Peace Park, Peace Park Viewing Tower, beautiful old houses. Although there are many options for lunch at the end of the walk, it is not advisable to dine out at the moment. There is a takeaway Indian Tea at the station which you can enjoy though.
