The track branches off the Nattai Ridge Road to follow a fence line to a track leading to magnificent sandstone cliffs. The track then continues on to join the Rocky Water Holes Track. Walk starts at end of Wattle Ridge Rd at the locked gate. Rough track, slippery creek crossings and scrambling up loose scree slopes. Location: Nattai NP Limit: 20. View

Coalcliff Station to Austinmer Station via paths and tracks to the Wodi Wodi Track, Mt Mitchell, Forest Track and link track to Sublime Point. Steep decent sometimes on ladders to roads and paths to finish. Excellent views and good forest walking. Cliff edges, slippery and loose conditions. Steep ladder descents. Walk one of the iconic trails in Sydney. Leave Taronga Zoo and walk through bush with the harbour a constant companion. Time to make the acquaintance of the many water dragons who call this part of the city home. A steep climb (taken slowly) up to Bradleys Head for lunch then after lunch down the steps to Balmoral. Three choices now available: 1. Catch the bus to Taronga and a ferry back to Circular Quay. 2. Catch a bus back to the city. or 3. Join the leader on a bus to Manly with a ferry ride back to the city. View

Bring your Opal Card and catch the 8:50am train departing Central Railway Station to Lithgow. Once in Lithgow you will met by a mini bus and taken to visit Lithgow’s spectacular Gardens of Stone as well as to State Mine Museum, Eskbank House Museum, Secret Creek Sanctuary. Stay overnight at the Lithgow Workers Club Motel. Return to Central Station by 6:30pm the following evening. Cost includes lunches, dinner, breakfast, afternoon tea, transport, guided tours and entrance fees. View

Follow this challenging track to Gladstone Pass. Ascend the spectacular pass to the Fairmont resort and follow various tracks to Wentworth Falls via Conservation Hut. Ben Bullen State Forest west of the Great Dividing Range encapsulates, in a relatively small area, everything that is exciting and interesting about bushwalking – incredible rock sculptures, tall pagodas, narrow slot canyons, magnificent caves, verdant forests and more. This unique area is currently under serious threat from mining. Katie Rolls, the inaugural winner of our John Martyn Research Grant for the Conservation of Bushland, is studying for her PhD at Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University. Katie will talk about progress with her research on the adaptive capacity of Acacia species to climate change and also explain how the grant was able to contribute to her research.
