Medium, 6 kilometres. Leader: Martin Bell (TBC) or Peter Cannon. Walkers are reminded to bring along enough food and water for the entire day as well as suitable clothing, footwear, hat and sunscreen. A pair of good binoculars and a fold up chair is recommended. We spend lots of time watching birds and spiders. Please contact the listed walk leader the night before the walk if you intend to come. A $2.00 donation for each walker is appreciated. On Thursday, paddle the waterways of Sussex Inlet and nearby section of St Georges Basin. Friday, the waterways around Wandandian Creek and nearby section of St Georges Basin. Come for one or both days. PFDs and splash decks compulsory. Will not go into open water if wind conditions are unfavourable. Limit: 16. View

Then two wonderful days to chill out at the best bush campsite in the Blue Mountains with nice side trips. The final day is a walk back up the hill to the cars (sigh!). A "resort" but still a solid full pack walk to get there and back. Mostly off-track walking.

This walk is co-led by Kevin Cliffe, Geoffrey Lee and Esther Chow. No need to contact but email rsvp is appreciated. This magnificent walk is focusing on the Harbour itself – the expanse of water, the bridges, islands, urban bushland and city skyline. The route winds along parts of the foreshore, into bays and on to headlands, through bush, along historic streets and over grand bridges. Part 4 starts from Balmain East Wharf and finishes at Circular Quay. Bring water, snacks and lunch. Some slippery sections.

Park vehicles on the Blackfellows Hand Trail at GR 327 090. Walk north down into Temple Creek, then turn west and walk along the base of the cliffs to Last Crusade Point and Ravine. Climb to the tops, then descend into Holy Grail Ravine. Walk to the end, then climb out on the eastern side and return to the vehicles. Scrambling and exposure.

Talk | A talk or slide show presentation.Prof Lesley Hughes will provide an update on how the world's and Australia's climate is changing, and the impacts it is having and will continue to have, with an emphasis on species and ecosystems. Prof Hughes is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Integrity and Development) and Distinguished Professor of Biology at Macquarie University. She is a former federal climate commissioner and was lead author in the IPCC’s fourth and fifth assessment reports. She is also a director for WWF Australia, a member of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists, the director of the Biodiversity Node for the NSW Adaptation Hub and a member of the expert advisory committee for Future Earth Australia.
