It covers the history of Devlins Creek,  Martin Bros Quarry, First Settlers, C Tucker, Ross & Maher, Mobbs, Brick Kiln, Trunks .  The steepest climb involves about 30 steps.  Optional lunch at pub.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Hat Hill canyon is a spectacular and relatively easy canyon with only 3 short swims and no need of a lilo although a wetsuit is recommended.Ive tried to lead this canyon on 2 previous attempts in 2020 but the weather was against us so lets hope the sun is out for us this time. Slippery rocks and creek walking.

Part of the Great South Coast Walk, a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660 km in total. Today we walk from Bundeena to Wattamolla. Always wanted to do the Coast Track but 28 km and 900 m elevation in one day is not your cup of tea? This is your chance to do it in 3 sections with public transport option. Take train and ferry to Bundeena Wharf. Walk to Wattamolla. Catch the shuttle from Wattamolla to Sutherland Station at end of walk. Fare is $10. Ask leader for payment details for group booking. Bundeena to Shoalhavens Steep and slippery sections.

Then onto Ikara Head for great views of the Gross River valley. We will be meeting at Mt Victoria Station and proceed by car to the track head. Numbers attending will be limited by the number of people offering to drive people from the station. When booking please include your phone number, emergency contact number your member number and whether you are coming by train or driving. Drivers should indicate how many passengers they can take from the station. Passengers should recompense their driver as per NPA policy. Booking essential. Some trip hazards.

Combining management tracks, walking trails & open cross country we will walk through an interesting blend of Sydney Basin & Tableland flora & also walk along a rarely visited section of the Wingecarribee River. If there are sufficient resources available, there may be an optional detour some of the walkers  that will involve an additional climb followed by a short but steep descent. After a break, backtrack and follow the Hacking River Fire Trail and cross the river. Follow the Red Cedar circuit and return across the river. Ascend a short off-track section to pick up a variety of tracks back to Helensburgh Station. Relaxed pace. Slippery/loose conditions, river crossings.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longHalf of this walk is in an unprotected area of Newnes SF; the other half is in the Blue Mountains NP. The straight boundary line, drawn by politicians, makes no sense when it comes to natural beauty. See it for yourself! Park the vehicles at the locked gate at the end of Waratah Ridge Road. Walk into and down the Hair of the Dog Ravine at GR 493 038. After exiting the ravine, make our way west to Cerberus Creek and its canyon. Go through the canyon, visiting Cerberus Falls and exit at about GR 472 038. Walk on the road back to the cars.
