It's a beautiful and very scenic walk. Route: Eastern Valley Way, North Arm, Sugarloaf Creek, Castlecrag, Sailors Bay Creek,  Salt Pan Creek, Northbridge. The walk will finish at Northbridge Hotel which offers $15 lunch special. A challenging bit requires using of a rope, steep and slippery sections.

This is a spectacular area containing pagodas, gullies, cliffs and fabulous views. From this side of the Grose Valley you experience a different perspective Tracks, off-track, steep descent, minor scrambling and a creek crossing. Only a grade 4 due to the off-track sections.

We walk from Medlow Bath to Blackheath.  We walk to the Three Brothers, then follow Glen Rosa Track to Blackheath. The route will take us to The Great Blue Mountains Trail, Wonderland Track, Tuckers Lookout, the Sunbath, and waterfalls. This is a gorgeous walk with never-ending views of the Megalong Valley and the Coliseum.  5 creek crossings, narrow, rocky and wet paths. Long sleeve shirts and trousers recommended as some paths are overgrown and narrow. Gortex boots an advantage. Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure. Please check your mail box the night before to make sure walk is still on. Steep and slippery sections. No-touch sign-on. Social distancing will be observed. Please bring hand sanitizer. We will walk around the river with lovely views and a bit of history. We are planning to finish at Penrith Station, though an early exit at Emu Plains is possible. Minimal rain, if any, is forecast for Penrith at the time of writing. Booking is essential. Paths can be slippery when wet.

It presents opportunities to see whales, wild flowers, various vegetation, birds and rocks - it really does have it all.

Expect to see abundant water birds. Preview of walk It's a picturesque section of the larger walk which will cover 570 km, linking the river's mouth at Broken Bay to its headwaters at Lake Bathurst, south of Goulburn. Council, with the NSW government, has been extending the path along the river banks as it passes through Emu Plains. In future, the walk will be extended towards Penrith Lakes and then on to Windsor, Wisemans Ferry and Berowra. Optional lunch at The O'Donoghues Irish Pub at Emu Plains. See menu.

Find out why it must be protected for future generations. Park at GR 238 326 at Airly Gap and walk up the western tributary of Gap Creek. Explore its northern branch, then climb out to the tops at about GR 231 335 and explore the pagoda spurs on the northern side of Gap Creek, moving east. Descend into Airly Gap. Scrambling and exposure. About 8 km.
