Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Wollongambe Canyon via Joe's, Du Fuars and Bell Creek Canyons. A taster of several canyons, each with its own distinct character. The side trip up Bells is a classic. Wetsuits, lilos, volleys/similar required. We will enter via Joe's, travel down Du Faurs, side trip up Bells and exit vie Wollongambe. Usual scrambling/frolicking with a steep climb out. Must be comfortable in cold deep water, slippery boulders and a largish blockup to negotiate. Otherwise good fun.

A very pretty canyon with lots of crayfish. No abseils but wet feet guaranteed. Volleys/sneakers recommended. Gaiters useful. Mostly off-track with some scrambling and a short ledge sidle where you wet everything if you fall in. A magnificent lunch spot with superb views into the Grose Valley. A steep scrambly descent into the canyon, slippery rocks and some jump downs but generally nothing too dramatic. A steepish climb out.

Contact leader if in doubt. Walk from Sutherland Station to Burnum Burnum Sactuary where we shall explore lookouts, overhangs and a cave before picnic dinner by the Woronora River. After dinner, we'll walk to Bonnet Bay to see the Xmas lights. Return home by walking to Jannali Station. Jointly led by James Moule and Esther Chow. No need to contact leader but email RSVP is appreciated. Slippery sections. Steep parts, some rock scrambling. Be prepared for a late night as it won't get dark until 9pm.
