The Provide First Aid course (formerly Apply First Aid or Senior First Aid) has two components: Pre-course learning. The pre-course on-line learning is a compulsory part of the course, and must be completed before you attend the face-to-face day. Theory content can be found on this link. This content will be in the theory assessment on the face-to-face day. A 1 day face-to-face session. The focus of the practical day will be practical skills and assessment and a theory exam. There is no specific teaching of theory content on the face-to-face day – it is assumed all participants will have completed the on-line material. We'll take Nunnock Swamp Walk. This swamp is an endangered perched lake on the coastal escarpment. Has snow gum woodlands and important grasslands. If track is waterlogged, will do Alexanders Hut walk instead. Access roads unsealed. 2WD dry weather. 4WD wet weather. Creek crossing on Packers Swamp Rd. High country weather unpredictable. This walk takes you the length of the Hunters Hill peninsula, from the Lane Cove River side, past historic sandstone houses, across the ridge through the heritage-listed Kelly’s bush to the Parramatta River shoreline, and finally around the former Woolwich Dry Dock. (Fully Booked) Starting from Glenbrook Station walk up the road walk along the edge of Douglas Smith Park down the track to Glenbrook Creek and then go along the creek passing the weir and Jellybean Pool and then along an unmarked track  to Napean River. After that along the track alongside the river and finally go inland to Lapstone Station. Poorly maintained section of track, rock scrambling, unmarked track and creek crossings. Limit: 12. View

From Chatswood Station take bus to start of the walk near the Forest Vet Hospital. Walk through Garigal National Park down to Middle Harbour and follow the track along the foreshore past Flat Rock Beach, Davidson Park Reserve and then along Lyrebird Track and Carrol Creek Track back to the start and bus back to Chatswood Station. Steep and slippery sections and creek crossings. Limit: 15. View
