Park the cars near Angus Place. Walk on trail to SH 1127, then off trail north east to SH 1095. Descend into Kangaroo Creek at around GR 329 060, then follow the cliff line and ledges all the way to GR 315 056. Exit to Angus Place Trail and walk back to vehicles. About 12 km. From the station we walk along San Jose Ave to North Lawson Trail, then follow cliff top to Echo Bluff, Echo Point and Fairy Falls. Down steps to Dantes Glen Falls, St Michaels Falls, Empire Pass and a gentle up hill to Frederica Falls. Take Hughes Ave track back to Lawson. Don't expect the huge cliffs and scenery of Katoomba. Valley of the Kings has a (big) bit of everything - big cliffs, big pagodas, big ferns, and big views. Climbing the file trail to the top of the Genowlan Mesa, we walk along its spectacular south-east cliffs high above the Capertee Valley. We then make our way to the Sphinx complex with its 360 degree views across the mountain, before descending into and through the beautiful valley. Come join the Fellowship of the King. Off-track. We’ll explore the rock quarry before crossing Bombo beach then continue through to Kiama to explore the lighthouse, before our journey ends at Kiama station.
