(Fully Booked) Camping at Cathedral Reserve Campground or staying in cottages at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains. Three days of walking nearby. Boronia Point walk 4.6km – grade 2; Zircon Creek Walk and Happy Valley Walk – grade 3; Sunday Spur and Bogey Holes Walk 13km – grade 3. Cathedral Reserve Campground is a large grassy open space with plenty of room for tents, campervans and small motorhomes. From Newnes follow the Pipeline Track to the saddle at approximately GR 447 274. Leave the track and head north along the cliff edge for about 2.5 km to GR 437 295 and then attempt to walk out to the end of the spur at GR 435 300. Exposure, pagodas, rugged terrain. On Saturday 19 September we will be meeting at Ascot Drive, Chippington Norton, 8:15am for an 8:30 start. Cycling mostly on quiet roads and bike paths to Canley Vale for coffee, then on bike paths to the M7 cycle way, then to Rooty Hill Pub for lunch (or BYO). Continue to Richmond Road cycle path, then onto Windsor. I have booked a room at the Windsor Hotel, 54 George Street, Windsor. Best to book your accommodation early, after contacting leader. Local Pub for dinner (possibility of a band Saturday night). Sunday 20 September, Windsor Mall Markets from 9am, departing Windsor approx. 10am. ""Picnic lunch"" on the way back. Returning to Chipping Norton between 4 - 5pm. Limited numbers. Approx. 65 kms each way. A social weekend away. View

The pre-course on-line learning is a compulsory part of the course, and must be completed before you attend the face-to-face day. Theory content can be found on this link. This content will be in the theory assessment on the face-to-face day. A 1 day face-to-face session. The focus of the practical day will be practical skills and assessment and a theory exam. Park cars at Airly Gap, then climb south east, inspecting historic graffiti and Aboriginal art sites along the way. Negotiate a series of pagodas and slots, including Genowlan Pinch, to arrive at the spectacular Airly Frustum. Continue climbing to the point above Airly Turret Slot and the stunning view. Next, visit Mine in the Sky with its historic infrastructure. From here, proceed to explore the bottom of Airly Turret Slot. Reconnect with the vehicles. crambling and exposure. Today, We walk from Wentworth Falls to Lawson via Bruces Walk. Begin with the Maple trees lined streets of beautiful Wentworth Falls. It’s a magical walk with waterfalls, caves, gum forests, sassafras’s forests, bird life and magestic views. This year the Big Scrub Rainforest Day is going online, providing an even greater opportunity to get involved. Join in for two-panel discussions facilitated by well-known ABC journalists Kerry O’Brien and Mick O’Regan focused on the bushfires in and around Nightcap National Park and their impact on Gondwana and lowland subtropical rainforests. Free registration will grant access to the footage release, airing 6 PM Sunday 20th September. Listen to experts who were involved in fighting the bushfires and their assessments of the impacts in Nightcap National Park and nearby rainforest. View
