Follow fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction of the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow GNW until we come to the turnoff to the Terrys Creek Track. Follow this track through various parks until we arrive at Vimiera Park. Road walk to Eastwood Railway Station. Flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom at the moment. Rough and slippery track in a few spots. Creek crossings.

Due to popular demand, the "Crossing of the Blue Mountains" will be repeated. Section 1A is on Thursday.  Subsequent sections from 1B to 14 will be on Sundays. Today, we walk from Mt York to Mt Victoria. We'll catch the train from Central at 8:48am, arriving Katoomba at 10:32am, giving you time for a coffee. Actually, it's best to eat something as we won't have time to have a lengthy lunch.  Then we catch the 698V bus from Katoomba at 11:19 arriving Closeburn Drive at Mt York Road at 11:56am.  We walk to Mount York Lookout and then return to Mount Victoria Station. Return train leaves at 4 pm. Walk the historic Coxs Road and see the Historic Wells. If you complete the whole 14 sections, you will be awarded with a certificate. View Esther's future walks Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure. Leave the track and head north along the cliff edge for about 2.5 km to GR 437 295 and then attempt to walk out to the end of the spur at GR 435 300. Exposure, pagodas, rugged terrain. Possible return via Petries Gully. Scrambling and exposure. About 15 km.

Date to be set depending on park opening, but 4-6 December suggested (flexible). Grade and approx. km: 4/5. 46 km in total - option for using mountain bikes for 14 km.
Day 1. Leave cars at Sassafras parking area on Endrick River fire trail. Walk/ride to Newhaven Gap. Turn off fire trail onto Folly Point walking track and continue to Folly Point then down to Hollands Creek via Watsons Pass. Approx 600 m descent to Hollands Creek. Camp on Hollands Creek.
Day 2. Walk upstream on Hollands Crk, Angel Crk to base of Crooked Falls and return. Same camp on Hollands Crk.
Day 3. Return to cars by same route.
Bring standard overnight camping gear.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out why this area, which is part of the Gardens of Stone region, must be protected for future generations. Park cars at GR 435 069 and drop down into Camp Creek. Follow it, inspecting overhangs along the way, then scramble above the amazing Devils Throat. Next, descend back into Camp Creek and head east into the gorge and visit the Devils Throat from the bottom. Depending on the time, return via a pass to the south or via East Creek. Scrambling and exposure. About 6km.
