From Painted Rock to Growee Gulf. Finish the shuffle. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longMystery Mountain dominates the skyline from the Newnes area and is a mountain certainly worth climbing! There is a rough track after crossing the Wolgan River that takes you to the base of the cliff line followed by an amazing cliffline traverse that goes for almost 1500 metres, south towards Zobels Point. Then a climb up onto the plateau where there will be time to explore the photgraphic opportunites amongst the pagodas. After that a descent down a gully will take us onto the the Wolgan River Trail back to our cars. Rock scrambling and some off-track walking.

Cross Kedumba River and follow very steep ascent, 770m, through Solitary Pass to Mt Solitary. Continue along with further steep sections and then descend the Korrowall Knife Edge. Continue along the Ruined Castle track and finish with a steep ascent up the Golden Stairs. Cliff edges and river crossing.

Follow this long descent/ascent, 600m, with lots of ups and downs. Great trail walking with picturesque 360 degree views taking in Mt Solitary, Kedumba Walls and the Three Sisters. Ascend numerous steps to Leura Cascades and Leura. Creek crossings, slippery conditions.

The track down to Karloo Pool is always pleasant and then the walk up and across to Uloola Falls opens up into delightful heath. There should be lots of flowers out! After that we have the pleasant fire trail back into Waterfall. Keep an eye out for orchids!
