Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFollowing the guidebook published with the recent Walking Upstream exhibition at Wollongong Art Gallery, we explore some of our myriad and complex waterways. The creeks are often on private land or they disappear into pipes, so we follow them as far as we can. We walk on streets, pathways and through public land. We continue by following Byarong Creek from Figtree to some way up Mt Keira. May be creek crossings and untracked sections.

There are 3 separate cliff edge sites with dramatic views over Shoalhaven Gorge towards Ettrema Wilderness. The trail follows the Brooks Plateu & Moolatoo Trig fire trails within Morton NP. Unfenced cliffs. Sandstone rock is weak and can fracture and crumble without warning.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longAs part of the NSW Seniors Festival events NPWS is running a Meeting of Cultures walking tour Kurnell. In 1770, Lieutenant (later Captain) James Cook landed at Botany Bay. He and his Endeavour crew stayed in the area for eight days and had a dramatic impact on Australian history. Seniors are invited to join a NPWS Discovery Ranger on an easy 40 minute easy grade walking tour around the heritage-listed Kamay Botany Bay National Park. Hear the story of Cooks arrival in Botany Bay and the meeting of European and Aboriginal cultures. See where the Endeavour was moored, the location where Cook and his crew landed, The Joseph Banks monument and more. Before or after the tour visit the NPWS Visitor Centre to see the historical exhibition including a canon from the Endeavour. Bookings essential. Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFast pace | A trip where the leaders will set a fast pace.(Cancelled) Packwalk Dunphys Campground - Black Horse Ridge - Mt Yellow Dog - Coxs River - Mt Strongleg - Mt Cloudmaker - Mt Stormbreaker - Crafts Wall - Kanangra Walls. Camps at Kangaroo Clearing, then a nice possie between Mt Stormbreaker and Gabes Gap. Continuing on to Kanangra Walls is dependent on finding some degree of water at Mobbs Swamp (and therefore Dex Creek), we may wander around the Wild Dogs/Coxs River instead and return to Dunphys. River crossing at Yellow Pup point. Lots of steep ups and downs (400m & 600m individual climbs). Contribution to car shuffle or taxis will be required. Joint with Bush Club/SBW.

Mostly good bush track, some fire trail. Water and toilets at Crosslands, we'll continue onto Lyrebird Creek to camp. Lots of steep ups and downs (some using D rings), individual ascents 220m, multiple creek crossings.
