Watch out for cars when walking on the black stuff. Lots of downs to the lookouts and then ups to the road. Quality of track is poor at some lookouts.

The Pipeline Lookout is an excellent morning tea stop before descending through rain forest and around Mt Carrialoo into the valley. Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, very steep descent.

(Trip Fully Booked and Waiting list applies) The proposed itinerary will take us to many of the well known sights within these countries where we will see museums of craft and ancient and modern art, bazaar’s, local village life and crafts, mud volcanoes, learn about the Zoroastrian worship, see ancient rock paintings, visit a unique cave complex, ride the longest cable in the world, see the first official Christian church along with many more sight along the way. We will have several cooking master classes of the local food as well as visiting several wineries along the way. The tour also includes a 20km day walk through the Shahdag National Park, an 8 km day walk through Dilijan National Park, a small hike to what is called “The Symphony of Stones”, 4x4 jeeps to the foot of Mount Kazbek (2170m) and visits to valleys and waterfalls along the way. In times of heavy rain it becomes a lake full of wildlife and for the nature photographer is a compelling place to visit! Rock scrambling and some off-track walking.

Visit Blast Furnace Park and Lake Pillans Wetlands on way from Lithgow Station. Catch bus back to Lithgow. A torch for the culvert might be handy if it is foggy. One creek crossing is on logs and a metre above creek. A couple of steep dirt embankments have only rough steps cut into them.

The track then continues on to join the Rocky Water Holes Track. Walk starts at end of Wattle Ridge Rd at the locked gate. Rough track, slippery creek crossings and scrambling up loose scree slopes.
