From the end of Jack's Corner Road follow Griffins Fire Trail to a track to the left. Follow this through the forest to a steep descent to the main dirt road leading to Beehive Point on Lake Yarrunga. This is a lovely picnic area and chance for a swim. Return by the main dirt road.  Starting at Valley Heights station, walk down to Martins Lookout, then down Martins Lookout track to junction where we join the track alongside Glenbrook Creek passing a climbing area slightly off track on the way down. Soon after the junction, turn off, cross Glenbrook Creek and climb up to Sharks Head Cave. Walk down to Perch Ponds and go up Magdala Gully Track to Springwood station passing Martins Falls and Magdala Falls. Steep and slippery sections and creek crossings Location: Springwood Limit: 15.

  Rising high above the surrounding farmlands is an isolated ridge of pink and grey granite, the stunning, and in places rugged, Evans Crown nature reserve, where there are many outcrops certainly worth exploring and climbing for the magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Also, at this time of the year the wattle is usually in full flower so the hills are covered in gold making walking in the area even more compelling! Cross Berowra Creek and climb up to the Natural Arch and then Refuge Rock, visit another rock lookout, walk along Patricia Trail and Daphne Trail back to The Jungo, then back to Thornleigh station.
