The West and East Rim tracks, which both start from the Fitzroy Falls visitor centre, offer 2 quite different vegetation types. As it's Spring time I think we can expect wonderful displays of the various flowering natives as we walk, and enjoy the many lookouts which both rim track can offer. Needless to say the views are incredible and I plan to see as much of this area as possible. I plan to do the West rim track before lunch and the shorter East rim track after our meal break with afternoon tea at the Burrow cafe situated at the visitor centre. slippery track in sections Location: Morton national park Limit: 20.

This is one of my very favourite walks in the Blue Mountains as its comprises so many wonderful aspects in a single trip. First there is the series of spectacular waterfalls as we descend Victoria creek down to the Grose River at Burra Korain flat. Then there is the abundance of wildflowers at this time of the year all along the route including a huge amount of waratahs as we ascend the ridge up to Pierces Pass. Add to this some wonderful swimming holes along the Grose river along the way. All in all a walk not to be missed. Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: mt.wilson Limit: 20.

The walk begins at Manning Lookout near Fitzroy Falls. Manning Lookout has great views over Kangaroo Valley. The walk then follows the escarpment past several lookouts and along a fence line across a couple of small creeks to Crystal Pool. The water leaves the pool to fall over the escarpment into the valley below. Return by the same route. Indistinct and easily lost track, rough track, fallen trees, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges Location: Morton NP (Fitzroy Falls) Map: Kangaroo Valley 9028-4-S Limit: 20.
