If its going to be a hot day we may not go all the way down to the Kowmung river but swim in the many pools created by the creek. | Grade:4/6 | Length | 4km | 100m | Sydney Branch | |
| Mark G. | |||||
(Updated Details) If you are relatively new to canyoning and you want a really fun one to do which doesn't involve abseiling then Dargans Canyon is hard to beat! There are a few shortish swims and some scrambling down short sections of tape which are fairly easy and then there's the exit! This involves a scramble up a tree with spikes which sounds difficult but really isn't! Of course I'll set up a safety line before we climb the tree. Participants will need a wetsuit, helmet, waterproofed pack and if not a competent swimmer, a PFD. rock scrambling and slippery conditionsLocation: Wollemi NP Map: Lithgow 89313S and Wollangambe 89312S Limit: 12. We stay at ski lodge in Jindabyne for a night on either side of the walk with our regular BBQ overlooking the lake. We need some suitable cars in order to access the start of the walk.
