The Bibbulmun Track: Walpole to Albany |
Grade:3/6 |
Length |
180km |
|
Sydney Branch |
Mark G. |
(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) On this trip we will experience the best that the Bibbulmun Track has to offer in Western Australia. From the small township of Walpole, we will travel along a series of good tracks through the towering Tingle forests, colourful heathlands, beautiful beaches, granite peaks and through the towns of Peaceful Bay and Denmark where new supplies can be purchased, allowing for lighter packs. The tracks are well marked and make for easy walking. Halfway through the walk we will have a rest day in Denmark.
At each campsite there is a hut which can be used as well as water supply, toilets and tables so this is hardly roughing it! The wildflowers at this time of the year are outstanding and you can expect to also see a fair amount of wildlife including seals, quokkas, wallabies and numerous birds to name a few.
In short, this is a fabulous walk and one not to be missed. Limit: 17.

Kosciuszko National Park is always popular in the summertime and staying at a very comfortable lodge at Perisher is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the region with fellow like-minded walkers! The accommodation is at a ski lodge and is via twin share/double rooms and DIY cooking. This lodge is an extremely comfortable place to stay and use as a base and all the rooms have ensuites, there is a huge commercial kitchen and plenty of room to social distance if you need to.
As in previous years, I will have several leaders to take walks on each day so you can choose who you might like to walk with and the grades range from 2 to 6.
It's essential to book early onto this walk as every year I usually have a long waiting list. Location: Kosciuszko NP
