  (Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Leader: Bob Rankin. This is an extra day walk to follow the last leg of the Parramatta to Shoalhavens series. As we are staying overnight on Saturday 7th Aug to walk the Seven Miles Beach, we will stay another night to do another day of two short walks: The Drawing Room Rocks near Berry and Bomaderry Creek near Nowra. Great views of the NSW south coast. Looking out over Berry, 7 mile beach and Jervis Bay & on a clear day can see pigeon house mountain & the lighthouse at point perpendicular.  Due to popular demand, this popular walk is to be repeated. To be led by Mike McLeod of Southern Highland Branch. A circuit rugged walk (rather rocky) along the Bargo River and Tahmoor Gorge. We will do it slowly to take in and take photos of the beauty of the walk. Highlights: fantastic views, Mermaid Pools. Waterfalls. wallaby, birds, majestic gum trees, wildflowers galore.  Co-leader: Elena. Pretty well the grand tour of the Rumbalara Reserve, this walk takes in much of the great scenery the reserve has to offer. The walk covers both the lower and upper sections of the reserve and passes through the great variety of forest on show. The walk also passes three of the four bronze sculptures in the reserve. Yaruga picnic area would be a great spot to stop for lunch with it’s facilities and excellent views. Limit: 10.

 Leader: Allan Porter. To mark the anniversary of "Crossing the Blue Mountains 2020", we will do the "Magical Wentworth Falls to Lawson via Bruces Walk" again. Begin with the Maple trees lined streets of beautiful Wentworth Falls. It’s a memorable walk with wildflowers galore (Waratahs, Bearded Orchids, Sun orchids, Caladenia, greenhoods) waterfalls, caves, gum forests, sassafras’s forests, birdlife and majestic views. This walk is not for you if you don’t like creek crossings (5), steep climbs and vertical ladders (4). Steep and slippery sections, slides and rock scrambling. Location: Wentworth Falls Limit: 15.

Actually the "Centre of Universe" "994" to see the Submarine Rock, the Wollangambe River and pagodas, without having have to tackle difficult or dangerous tracks. At this time of the year, there will be abundant display of wildflowers, including waratahs, orchids and the not easily found Pterostylis tunstallii. Steep and slippery sections, obstacles.  Co-leader: Marilyn Cross. Cherry Tree Walk is a beautiful walk in Bowral. It consists of a walking/bike track beside the Mittagong Rivulet and 526 cherry trees that have been planted, dedicated to each and every soldier who died during the Vietnam War. The walk is particularly attractive in spring when the cherry trees are in flower. Incorporated into the design of the War Memorial has been a monument, inscribed with the names of the Australians who gave their lives in the service of their country.
Then we continue to the Southern Highlands Botanical Garden. Limit: 12.

 Never heard of Dangar Island? Join us for a tour to this idyllic island just a hop, skip and a jump from Hawkesbury River Station, Brooklyn. Upon arrival on this car-free oasis of bush, beach and tranquillity, we will be welcomed by tree-lined palms and jacarandas. On the lower grounds we'll walk past the Bowling Club and Bradleys Beach. On the higher grounds we'll get great views of the Hawkesbury River. We'll also walk past a Blackbutt – Rough-barked Apple Forest.
Enjoy the scenic train ride across the Hawkesbury River and a joy ferry ride to the island. Enjoy lunch or Devonshire tea at Dangar Island Depot before taking the ferry back home.
Bring money for ferry ($8.50 one way adult, $4.30 one way concession (not sure seniors is considered concession)). Limit: 10.

The Colour walk series : 50 shades of Pink |

    (NEW!!!) Not quite the Jacaranda walk, but there are many shades of pink apart from the pink Crepe Myrtle lined streets. We walk from Canterbury Station to Ashfield, where we will go to to the Leagues Club for Yum Cha. If you prefer, the Club also has a cafe and bistro for western food. If you prefer a picnic lunch, you can go to Allman Park instead. Walk will be cut short if it is a hot day. Points of interests: Canterbury Park Race Course, Canterbury Park, Gough Reserve, Yeo Park, Trinity Grammar School of which I have an affinity for, Peace Park, Peace Park Viewing Tower, beautiful old houses. There is a coffee shop at the start and for morning tea (V, GF).
