(Fully Booked) Leader will be Sue Atteridge. Today we walk CALEYI TRAIL , Deep Creek Valley Trail and continue along the Narrabeen lagoon to the Tramshed. CALEYI TRAIL is named after Caley’s Grevillea, a medium to tall shrub that is only found in an 8km square area that includes Belrose, Ingleside and Terrey Hills/Duffys Forest). As it is now spring, expect to see wildflowers, grass trees, ferns and eucalypts. There is a wide rock platform and some interesting sandstone formations. There are some nice views over the GARIGAL NATIONAL PARK. Near the trail are carvings of two kangaroos, one of which has a spear in its back (described by WD Campbell). This is a repeat of one of my most enjoyable walks last year. Travelling by fast train and then a bus, we reach the Princess Marina Track to the beautiful Kellys Falls, set in bushland that is noticeably different to that around Sydney or the Blue Mountains. From here we walk around and see some of the wonderful views over the coast from Stanwell Tops before descending 150 metres down the escarpment to Stanwell Park Station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces, a steep descent and creek crossings. From Neates Glen after sunset we will descend into the world of the night creatures and walk through the Grand Canyon, exiting at Evans Lookout Track. The prime reason for doing this walk is to see the amazing displays of glow worms which leave the colony in the Glowworm tunnel for dead with their brightness and sheer numbers. Plus we might see possums, gliders, the odd frog and experience this world heritage walk in a completely different way. People doing this walk are encouraged to do the walk to Mt Victoria beforehand and to stay in the mountains to avoid the long drive home. From there it's bushtrack to North Turramurra via the Murrua Track and then through Wahroonga Reserve to Burns Road. From there, we'll street walk back to Wahroonga Station.

Starting from Staples Lookout on Woy Woy Rd, we'll head first to Kariong Brook Falls, which should be quite a spectacle after the rain.
From there we'll head for Mt Wondabyne (251m) and enjoy 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside.

Springtime is upon us, and this walk will showcase a bounty of wildflowers that only the Sydney sandstone region can achieve. We will follow the eastern side of Girrakool Creek down over Piles Creek before heading south over Scopas Peak, then the Hawkesbury Track, the old Woy Woy Road, past the scout camp and back along the Western Girrakool circuit to the start.
