Never heard of Dangar Island? Join us for a tour to this idyllic island just a hop, skip and a jump from Hawkesbury River Station, Brooklyn. Upon arrival on this car-free oasis of bush, beach and tranquillity, we will be welcomed by tree-lined palms and jacarandas. On the lower grounds we'll walk past the Bowling Club and Bradleys Beach. On the higher grounds we'll get great views of the Hawkesbury River. We'll also walk past a Blackbutt – Rough-barked Apple Forest. Enjoy the scenic train ride across the Hawkesbury River and a joy ferry ride to the island. Enjoy lunch or Devonshire tea at Dangar Island Depot before taking the ferry back home. Bring money for ferry ($8.50 one way adult, $4.30 one way concession (not sure seniors are considered concession)).
