Leader will provide itinerary on inquiry. Cultural sensitivity a major prerequisite and a good level of fitness. We will visit World heritage sites in Kathmandu and then fly to Bhutan for a cultural tour 6 days, and climb up to Tigers Nest Monastery... Leader is organising trip with a reputable friend in Nepal who has a company that we have used over the years. Altitude for both Nepal and Bhutan will not be higher than approx 3200 metres. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longThe walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP. From the locked gate continue on the Fire Trail along the ridge. There are several viewpoints which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankeys Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebeccas View over Sandys Creek on the other side of the ridge. Rough track and unfenced cliffs.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).(NEW!!!) Birrabang Canyon is a perfect canyon for beginners as it involves no abseils and no swims although you will get wet feet. The canyon has some spectacular sections as well as an interesting walk out amongst the pagodas with great views in all directions. Rock scrambling/hopping.

This rough track will really get your heart racing with several steep climbs along the way. 11km walking track is an exhilarating challenge for adventure seekers. This beautiful circuit walk goes through a range of dry and wet forest along the valley, and offers some great views. There are plenty of grass trees along the way to add to the scenery and the creek crossings are very picturesque. The side trip to a large Aboriginal engravings site alone is worth the entry price! At this time of the year, there is an abundance of wild flowers. Steep and slippery sections

Return via a narrow ridge above Green Gully with breathtaking views onto the Wolgan-Capertee Divide along the way. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Contact leader.) Drive to Newnes on Friday afternoon. Share accommodation in the comfy and fully equipped Newnes Cabins. Friday night spotlighting (wombats, possums, roos etc guaranteed). Saturday a decent walk to be announced. Saturday night help celebrate Paul Webster's 70th and sit around the campfire. Sunday smaller walk or explore the ruins. For those not wishing to walk, Newnes is a great place to spend a lazy day. Cost is approx. $100 per person for both nights. Bring a plate to share for each of the evening meals. The limit of 23 will decrease if others non NPA start booking the cabins. Slippery sections.

From the second car, descend The Gurgler and visit the Flying Carpet. Walk back underneath the cliff line to Koan Cave, then continue south via Koan Pass and above the cliff line, all the way to Michelangelo Cave. Visit Michaels Chair and re-connect with the first car.
