Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Namadgi National Park with its wonderful array of habitats is a great place to explore! Fantastic boulder ridges, alpine frost hollows and bountiful swamps are just a few worth seeing on its expansive system of tracks. This is a car based camp, costing $10 a person per night at the comfortable Honeysuckle Creek Campsite, only a short drive from the nations capitol. I expect to also visit Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve during our stay as lots of wildlife worth spotting within its confines. Optional rock scrambling.

From the top an indistinct track leads down to the Nattai River. After crossing the river a well formed track leads to Lake Alexandra. Rough track, slippery rocks, river crossing steep descent.

Head to Crosslands reserve (approx. 15 km, mostly downhill and relatively easy with one tricky creek crossing). Camping at Crosslands: beautiful spot with water and toilets. Walk out next day to Berowra Station (5.5 km). Slippery sections.

The walk then returns to the Cooks Nose Lookout, a wonderful lunch spot. On the edge of the escarpment there are spectacular views. Rough track often wet, muddy and slippery, unfenced lookout.

Add to this a wonderful campsite next to the Shoalhaven River where the wiley fisherman may catch bass or trout plus a campfire to sit around and yarn under the starry sky. Some rock scrambling along the creek.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)This walk is along the first part of the Bonnum Pic Track. Leaving the fire trail there are a couple of steep gullies to negotiate before joining an old fire trail and then a bush track leading to the escarpment. Wildflowers are prolific and the view spectacular. Walk starts at Wanganderry Fire Trail yards. Steep rough track slippery creek crossing, fallen trees, unfenced cliff edges.

As if Sydney wasn’t already the prettiest city in Australia, we find ourselves living in nothing short of a magical, lavender coloured wonderland. Let's start with the Royal Botanical Garden, cross the Harbour Bridge, and explore the streets of suburbs like Lavender Bay and Wollstonecraft. Jointly led by Kevin Cliffe and Esther. The final day is a full pack walk back up the hill to the cars (sigh!). A walk that is short in distance but rugged in nature.
