Walk is part of the Kangarutha Track and includes a section of the Wharf to Wharf Walk. Start at Tathra Headland and follow the coastline to Boulder Bay. Track winds through heathland, melaleucas and allocasuarinas, with a remnant patch of rainforest at Boulder Bay. Excellent views of Kianinny Bay en route. Steep ascents/descents. Numerous steps. LOCOMOTIVE 3001 TO FEATURE AT 2023 FESTIVAL OF STEAM Due to the requirement to book the steam train, RSVP to this event is accepted from now. In 2023, Thirlmere village will once again awaken to the enchanting sound of the steam whistle for the annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam. From newly restored steam Locomotive 3001 and Legend of Steam Locomotive 3801 to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest operating steam locomotive Beyer-Garratt 6029, visitors will be spoilt for choice with the biggest display of historic NSW railway steam engines at this year’s Thirlmere Festival of Steam. All locomotives listed will either feature on display in steam or operate one of the many steam train rides throughout the weekend along the historic Loop Line. Their will also be a range of smaller steam traction engines in and around the NSW Rail Museum . We will walk along the beach and tracks to Jibbon Head, visiting the Aboriginal engravings on the way. We will then mostly walk along the rock platform towards the Balconies, where we join the coastal track back to Bundeena. There is a steep climb from the last beach up to the headland along an eroded track that requires a bit of a scramble. Spectacular coastal views and coastal heath bushland. Booking essential, giving your mobile, emergency contact and NPA numbers. It could be slippery and possibly slushy in places and the rock platforms are uneven. (Fully Booked) WALK CHANGED DUE TO TRACK CLOSURES Starting at Lawson Station, walk to Gregg Street, turn off to a faint track to view old relic, follow South Lawson fire trail, turn off to go to Cataract Falls and Federal Falls, rejoin South Lawson fire train and go to Victor Falls and Terrace Falls, go up to Adams Lockout, then to Hazelbrook Station via South Lawson Fire trail. Steep and slippery sections, creek crossings, overgrown tracks and some off-track sections. Limit: 12. View

Deep Pass Canyon on Nayook Creek offers the adventurous type some real fun whilst following its length with some stunning pools to swim in, a few waterfalls to climb around and swim under via a system of ropes and aids! So come along with your cossies and experience this superb little canyon. A side trip to Split Rock is also a must. Scrambling up the side of waterfalls. This is a moderate, (not easy) trail with some rock scrambling. Highlights to look out for are the river views, King Parrot, Wallaby, long neck hawk. Glowworm Tunnel Road – Wolgan View Canyon – Carne Creek Lookout – Explore south along cliff line - return via gullies and pagodas. Explore this maze of gullies, pagodas and a visit to a usually dry canyon. A very interesting area. This time the road should be open. Track, off-track with mild scrub, easy scrambles. A pleasant walk from Lindfield Railway Station to beyond Roseville Bridge following two creeks. The walk takes you through a variety of vegetation communities including Coachwood forests and with increasing water views. The track descends 166 metres and rises 80 metres. This is your last chance to do this track for a while, as it closes the next day for a month of maintenance. A distinct track with some steep and rough sections as well as steps, but generally easy walking. Location: Garigal NP Map: Parramatta River 91303N Limit: 20. View
