|This is my favourite walk in the Gardens of Stone National Park and once you reach the top of this imposing mesa you'll understand why! Access is via a friendly land owner and I plan to stay at a nearby hotel the night before so we can get an early start. Rock scrambling.

|From station to station via Florabella Pass, two crossings of Glenbrook Creek, Bullant Track, St Helana Fire trail, Lost World and Bunyan Lookouts, Kings Link Track and ascent of tracks to Springwood. An excellent walk with lots of variety, great views and good track walking. Cliff edges, creek crossings.

|The intended route for the Great River Walk goes through Bar Point, an isolated settlement on the Hawkesbury River. Some route options have never been surveyed. This walk is intended to explore the unknown links to see if they actually exist. The notional route is Mt White to Marlow Lookout to Big Jim Point, then along the shoreline to Bar Point. Water taxi to Brooklyn. Public transport users can train to Brooklyn then pick up.

|Park cars at long Gully camp. Follow Long Gully Road west to the Belowra Fire trail. Descend the fire trail to the Yadboro River. Follow the river downstream to return to cars. Real billy tea for afternoon tea! Expect to get your feet wet ... there are five river crossings! But you can have a swim if it's hot.

|Joadja Nature Reserve was created in 2001. The management trail meanders through eucalypt forest to a rocky lookout, giving views over creeks and farmland. Returning to the Wombeyan Caves Road we cross and walk a little way to another fire trail and lookout towards Wombeyan Caves - this is a lovely lunch place. Rough fire trail and unfenced cliff edges.
