With some of the best views across the Grose valley, the first of our 3P challenge is an invigorating and rewarding walk. We will follow the Lockley Pylon walking track, through low lying heath to Lockley Pylon with magnificent views. Continuing to Du Faurs to descend into the valley on the steep and rocky terrain of Shortridge pass. We'll cross Govetts Creek into Blue Gum Forest for lunch before we commence the ascent and scramble back up Du Faurs on our return trip. Banksias are blooming and the wattle is about to pop. Lots to enjoy on this iconic walk. Joint walk with the Bushclub. Steep and rocky terrain, mild exposure, short scramble up the cliff line, relatively easy creek crossing.
