Artarmon to North Sydney walk. This is the report from a previous walk: Immediately upon exiting Artarmon Station a bush track hugged the railway line and led to a clearing where gigantic carved gumnuts idly lay. At Hallstrom park beautiful sandstone sculptures of animals paid homage to Hallstrom’s involvement in Taronga Zoo. Nearby Walter Burley Griffin’s Incinerator had been recycled - into a cafe and a gallery. Heather recited poetry at Henry Lawson’s Cafe before we continued to Tunks Park for morning tea. A delightful finale was St. Thomas Rest Park, an historic cemetery. St. Leonards Park for lunch then home via the Metro. Limit: 10.
