A 3-day adventure. Day 1 – Drive to Drip Rock Trail and leave vehicles there. Descend to the Colo via Pass 30a. Establish a base camp. Day 2 – Explore the knife-blade spur north of Blacksmiths Creek. Probably return via Blacksmiths Creek. Day 3 – Exit via Pass 30. About 20 km total. Brilliant swimming in between of walking. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Pippas Pass then down to Glenbrook Creek and cross near here. Follow Glenbrook Creek towards Glenbrook and exit at the Duck Hole. There is no formed track along Glenbrook Creek. Not much shade. Creek crossings. Expect the one at the Duck Hole will involve wading knee deep. Wet or sandy rocks can be slippery. Lots of trip hazards. Some rock and scrub scrambling. Enjoy this cooler walk with its spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. We will walk from Watsons Bay to Camp Cove to view the landing place of Captain Phillip on 21 January 1788, thence to South Head and onto Nielson Park. Please note that the beach and kiosk there are currently closed for construction work. We then take the stunning Hermitage Foreshore Track to Rose Bay, where you can catch a bus or ferry home.
